Understanding the Cane Corso:
Working vs. Companion Dogs

Welcome to SouthEastern Corsos, where we specialize in the majestic Cane Corso breed. Known for their intelligence, strength, and loyalty, Cane Corsos have a rich history as versatile working dogs, adept in various tasks from guarding to farm work. Today, they are also cherished as loyal companions in homes around the world.

Our Contract

Health and Care: Working Showing/ Brreeding and Companion

  1. Puppies will be examined by a licensed vet, receive necessary shots and worming, and be microchipped before sale.

  2. Buyers are responsible for registering the microchip.

  3. It's required that buyers have their own vet check the puppy's health within 3 business days of receiving it.

  4. Southeastern Corsos is not responsible for any health issues that arise after 3 business days from the date of puppy arrival.

Socialization and Usage:

  1. Owners are encouraged to enroll puppies in kindergarten and obedience classes within the first year for socialization and obedience.

  2. Dogs are not to be involved in illegal activities or bred with inferior quality dogs.

Guarantees:

  1. Puppies come with docked tails and dewclaws removed. A 26-month guarantee against hip dysplasia is provided.

  2. We recommend feeding a holistic dog food for the guarantee to apply.

  3. Adequate exercise and care are essential for proper puppy growth and development.

Rehoming:

  1. Southeastern Corsos assists in finding suitable mates for your dog, ensuring the quality of temperament and conformation is maintained.

  2. Offspring must not be sold to puppy mills or pet stores for profit.

  3. Females must have had second heat and be a minimum of 24 months before being bred and have completed PENN HIP (Pennsylvania Hip Improvement Program) and OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) Certificates.

Ownership Responsibilities:

  1. Buyers must commit to proper care, including specific immunizations and flea, tick prevention, heartworm protection, as recommended by your licensed vet.

Other Clauses:

  1. Southeastern Corsos reserves the right to use any stud bearing its name for breeding without compensation.

  2. Abuse or neglect of the puppy can result in reclamation by Southeastern Corsos.

  3. No cash refunds or liability for medical expenses will be provided.

  4. Common conditions like Cherry Eye, Entropian, and Ectropion are not covered by our guarantee.

  5. Southeastern Corso reserve the right to see in person, pictures or require the Cane Corso to be checked by the Vet for SEC reasons.

  6. Any violation of this contract renders it void.
